The CCHS Theatre Company is back with another highly anticipated performance this weekend: The Tempest by William Shakespeare.
Shakespeare’s The Tempest is a comedic yet serious play about Neopolitans and an overthrown duke’s plan to regain his former position.
CC’s edition of this play will be more than an ordinary Shakespearian play. While in years past, the fall play has usually not been accompanied by a pit orchestra, there will be music composed to accompany this play performed by a trio of instruments (cello, flute and piano). A movie by Ben Tull and Burke Hutchinson will also be featured in the movie. There will be dancing as well from the performers. The story incorporates themes of magic and enchantment as well, making for what will be an extremely intriguing and enticing performance.
The opening performance will be this Thursday, November 16 at 7 pm.
There will be 2 additional performances at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday, November 17th and 18th, with a final performance on Sunday, November 19 at 2 pm.
More information on the play and performances as well as tickets can be found here.
The cast and the tech crew has worked extremely hard for almost two months now in anticipation of their performances this weekend, so be sure to come and witness what should be a great show.
